Poll on Freedom of Speech in Iran

The same WPO poll asked respondents to assess actual freedom of speech in Iran: “In Iran, how free do you think people are to express controversial political views, without fear of being harassed or punished?” Only 27% of Iranians said they were completely free in this regard, but another 44% said they were somewhat free; 23% said they were “not very free” (12%) or “not at all free” (11%).

The interesting part of this whole report is that it makes Ahmadinejad look popular, whilst it knows too well that the people in Iran cannot answer any questions, just in case they get killed by the mullahs.
