Iran UNSC: Who speaks for Russia, Churkin or Lavrov?

"If Iran in the next few days does not stop the enrichment activities of its heavy water project then yes, Russia ... has taken upon itself certain commitments... to support the resolution that has been drafted in the past month," Churkin told reporters via a video link from New York.

"Russia is constantly insisting that the (U.N.) Security Council adopt certain sanctions against Iran," he said.

Churkin says one thing, and Lavrov says another thing. They are opposites. Who speaks for Russia? Just wait for tomorrow, and Lavrov will say something which is more anti-American and pro Seyyed. It is crazy.

Putin is naive towards the Seyyeds

President Vladimir Putin has urged Iran to freeze its controversial uranium enrichment programme, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday, Interfax reported.

In a meeting Tuesday with Iranian nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili, Putin repeated his "call for freezing work on uranium enrichment," Interfax quoted Lavrov as saying.

How strange that the Russians are toeing the US line. After China stopping a lot of credit lines to the Seyyeds, everyone was thinking that the Russians were going stump the coalition. Obviously the world values its trade relations with the US more than the Seyyeds. The US has made it quite clear that it will not allow companies that trade with the Seyyeds to trade with the US as well.

China falls into line

Asadollah Asgaroladi, head of the Iran-China chamber of commerce, was quoted as saying that Chinese banks "did not open letters of credit for Iranian traders during the past week."

When we look back in years to come, we will realise this to be a very important event.

It has been quite difficult to get the Chinese to fall in with the rest of the world.

Obviously Russia does not want Iran out of the NPT, because of all the investments it has made in Bushehr NPP. But there are quite a few people there, that are not too pleased with Lavrov.

Russia change in tune against the Islamist Fascists in Iran

Yup just as I said before, the Russians have suddenly changed their view on the Islamist Fascists in Iran. And it is interesting to see how the Indian press is one of the first to report this change in attitude.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today expressed Moscow's "alarm" at Iran's plans to expand nuclear research and its refusal to accept proposals tabled by five permanent UNSC members and Germany to restart dialogue.

"We are alarmed, of course, by Iran's refusal to accept the sextet's proposals, which aim to create conditions for restarting the talks," Lavrov said in an interview published by the government-run Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily.

The Indians and their friends in the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) have always supported the Islamist Fascists in Iran. But they are more anti-US than the Russians, especially with the Communists Party in India being so big. I have always been very wary of the Indians, ever since the early days of the Islamist Inquisition of Iran in 1979, when I found out that Ayatollah Khomeini was educated at Lucknow. The Islamists there are very die hard, and recently were the first to criticize the new Pope. So the root of the problem is in Lucknow.
