Why Iran is in this mess and its solution.

The typical historical references to the time of the Shah are actually incorrect. Connecting what was done at the time of the Shah with now is incorrect. The left wing does not apologise for what it did in the time of the Shah, and Trita is not doing it now. The purely democratic ideology does not work in an ancient culture. Iran like many old nations has many other cultural elements that have to be considered, before it is cut up by the blunt democratic tool. Things are not black and white, and Mossadegh was not God. At that time the fear of the Communist Party selling Iran to the Russians was great amongst the world. The world press exaggerated all this, and the result was complete economic disaster for Iran whilst Mossadegh was around.

I know all this to be true because my father was a leading industrialists at the time of Mossadegh. He advised Mossadegh not to make such a big deal and not to allow the oil price to rise. The world of oil was and is in the hands of the distributers, and Mossadegh refused to understand this simple fact. He thought that just having the oil is the be and end all of it all. He built a political scenario around this, and like Khomeini tried to convince the people that the Shah stood at the ports and filled his pockets with money. He promised great revenues for the people of Iran, and like Khomeini, got power but never delivered. Luckily his rent-a-crowds were not around for too long and the people did worry about his dealings with the Communists. Mentioning Mossadegh at the time of the Shah was as if you were talking about the Russians. So the people did see a threat to their freedom. We did have elections at the time of the Shah, but like this Theocracy it was protected against the radicals. These radicals do not give credit to the fact that the Shah was on the side of Ancient Iranian culture, whilst the Khomeinists put Islam above Iran. Iran comes before Islam or Democracy in my and many Iranians' lives. Trita et al think like the mullahs in that ideology - namely democracy (a political ideology) should come above Iranian culture.

The spirit of Iran, rooted in its ancient culture propelled Iranians to put Iran on the map and make it the great nation it was. There was good reason for the 2500 year celebrations. But some people in the left called it a "tea party". They money and effort that was put towards the research to find out about Iran's history is what has kept Iran's dignity now. As we know Iran prospered under the Shah so much that it was ahead of Turkey and South Korea by most economic measures, and plans were afoot to make Iran and Western Asia the world's next power house. But as many people have written in the past thirty years, the world does not like "Persian Pride". Yes we Iranians do carry a big chip on our shoulder, as we look at the ancient history books, and wonder why were are not the Empire of the world. We have instead become a pariah state.

So there are important reasons why everyday we hear horribe news from Iran. The world press does not look at the Good Iranians who are working in many countries and in Iran, and could give Iran the honour and glory it has in its spirit. Imagine what Iran would have been if the Shah had told the world that he is dying from cancer and that it is about time that he was not the place where the buck stops. You see, in Iran, no one wanted to take responsibility for anything. Like most developing nations the people were more interested in being told what to do than to take risks and do things on their own. Look at the number of graduates in Iran, look at the number of new businesses being set up every day, and then look at the unemployment figures. Why you would say aren't new businesses being set up for a country with so much wealth from natural resources and room to grow?

So the people who were fished out and sent to Iran were carefully selected and are supported to rule Iran, to stop Iran from growing. We have the highest brain drain in the world. Every child wants to leave Iran, whilst all the venture capitalists want to get a good connection with a mullah that they can rely on, because Iran economically speaking is the most undervalued nation in the world. Why the mullah? Because the mullah does not allow sane Iranians who want to build Iranian culture to do business. That leaves a bunch of gunmen and drug dealer to do business with the mullahs. But look at the companies that do trade in Iran and you will see that most companies trade at book value or less. You cannot get that measure anywhere else.

If it was not for the plans drawn up by the minds of the 70's that were logical as opposed to political, that are being carried out now, Iran would not have gotten this far. The people had to fight the mullah who right from the start did not want the modern state. To them it was seen as too western. Once the mullahs took power they wanted to reverse all funds into all the modern projects. It brings to mind the story of the Shirly Brothers who 16th Century planted tomatoes and once the local mullah found out the profit they were making, he ordered them to be flattened. And so the joke goes "when did Iran not catch up with the west?" It was at that point in time when the mullahs and the Safavids lost against the modernity, and now they want to turn the clocks back to then. Iran comes second to them.

Inside the Iranian is a zest for development and the world that hates competition from a new Japan, always supported forces that stop Iran from modernizing. The removal of the Shah was not so much removal of the Shah, but to stop Iran from modernizing. Rotten and useless equipment from Russia (as in aircraft) has to be bought, when we have huge oil and gas reserves. Like the time of the Shah the rulers are allowed to waste money on financial intensive military goods or nuclear equipment, instead of hospitals and schools above ground where centrifuges are being spun. Go to Natanz, see how poor these honourable people are, and ask them how many schools there are. Count how many doctors have moved into the area ever since centrifuges were brought into huge bunkers undergound over there.

It saddens me to see all the wise people of this debate miss the most simplest solution to this saga, namely the threat of non-violent general strike. This is the only weapon that the modern world has against any nasty government. It took two days of a hint of strike by the post men in the UK and they got what they wanted. The press were behind them and the whole matter was resolved. We are human beings in Iran just like the people of Britain, but the British media refuses to advise the dictators in Iran that they are powerless against a general strike. Instead the media writes about the killings they get up to, and makes them look strong. They don't write and broadcast about the small strikes that the people of Iran are making. What if they did, and the people realised that their quest for freedom is making front page in The Times or The Economist. Wouldn't that encourage them to do the right thing? Of course it would. Hopefully that would cause the mullahs to react. The chain reaction would start and more and more people would get involved and the road to peaceful regime change would begin. This is not rocket science, and I am no genius. The media are the geniuses who have managed to prevent this from happening. Well done to the media of the world for keeping Iran in the dark ages.

Iranians should organize more

Britain sparked controversy yesterday by sending its second most senior diplomat in Tehran to the ceremony at which Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, officially endorsed President Ahmadinejad’s hotly disputed re-election. Iran’s opposition leaders, who say the election was rigged, boycotted the event.

We Iranians have a major problem. We want other governments to sort out our problems, and then when they don't we blame them.

We are the oldest civilization on Earth and at the moment we cannot get ourselves organized, just because we blame others. The way to remove the aliens is by not working for them. It is that simple.

If enough people said that if we all united along peaceful lines, giving peace a chance to unite us all who are against them, then nothing can break our simple but very strong bond, and we can organize ourselves against them. Fact is that they are better organized than us. Simple.

This goes to show, that nationalists is the Spirit that drives the people of Iran.

Israelis like Seyyeds not true Iranians

With all this analysis which is quite correct, why do the Israelis concern themselves with the Seyyeds. Why don't they impress the Chinese and Russians not to support the Seyyeds. Why is it, that the Israelis want to associate the whole of the Iranian population as being in tone with these Seyyeds. Sometimes the people of Iran think, that the Israelis themselves love to have the Seyyeds, because their threat means that they get handouts from the US. The solution is simple. Recognize Iranians not Seyyeds. Next, help us to form a government in exile to instruct a General Strike, to bring the Seyyeds to the negotiation table with Iranians, who want to change Iran for the better. We are the people who can change our country, and not US or Israelis with their air-strikes.

UN is with the Iranian Opposition

The UN General Assembly approved a Canadian draft resolution Tuesday expressing "deep concern" at alleged systematic human rights violations in Iran, including torture, flogging, amputations, stoning and public executions.

The 192-member world body adopted the resolution by a vote of 73-53 with 55 abstentions.

The resolution is not legally binding but carries moral weight and reflects the majority view of world opinion.

Thank goodness most of the world is with the Iranian Opposition. But the Seyyeds think that they are over and above the UN don't they.

Guardian's or AP's Sally Buzbee is wrong on Iran

And Khamenei lacks the stern, spellbinding charisma that bound the first revolutionary leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, so strongly to his people.

But Iran's clerical regime ``has survived everything short of the plague'' in its 28 years, said Suzanne Maloney, a senior fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy in Washington.

And no coherent, organized opposition has ever emerged.

Khalaji is blunt: Ahmadinejad may be unpopular and ``very fragile.'' But he says: ``The regime is not vulnerable at all.''

It is so easy to say it, and so The Guardian does. But The Guardian, like many other newspapers is wrong. I have found that the more liberal press like The Guardian, that does not like the nationalist opposition forces, and will not be seen to be supporting the Islamist ones, makes such crazy comments.

For crying out loud Sally Buzbee, ask any Iranian, and they will tell you, that these monsters are not Iranian. All the Blogs in the internet, that the Iranians are famous for, are there, because 65% of the Iranian population, that are young, all speak of Iranian values, that are opposed to the Seyyed ones. So why don't you do your work properly and read those blogs, and see the opposition.

And it is organised. Ok, maybe we don't all have one platform that we have one speaker to represent us. But we are all saying the same thing about the Seyyeds. So our Iranian culture has organized us. Our Iranian culture is beyond politics and religion. We do not have a religious or political opposition. We have a national opposition.

Iranians have recognised these Seyyeds as aliens.

Acrimonious World

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called his French counterpart, Nicolas Sarkozy, "young and inexperienced" in an acrimonious and threatening letter, the daily newspaper Le Monde reported Friday.

I came across this comment first, and then thought, "ah well, yet another quip, from that madman".  But as I was reading the newswires, I came across the word acrimonious again.

In a statement following the vote on the resolution on moratorium on the use of the death penalty, the representative of Singapore congratulated the co-sponsors of the resolution on their “pyrrhic victory”. He said the vote had proved that there was no international consensus on the resolution, as almost half of the delegations had not voted in its favour. That should be an indication that many delegations were uncomfortable with the text. Co-sponsors had brought the resolution forward fully aware of how acrimonious and divisive the issue was.

There is something weird, and yet wonderful about coincidence, and with the internet, it happens a lot.  It defies logic, because how often is it, that one comes across such a word as acrimonious.

Now maybe there is a hidden meaning to all this?  One can talk about the split world we live in.  That all those for capital punishment are with the likes of the Seyyeds.  Is this the great divide in the world?

I know that on a personal note, when I first meet someone, I don't ask about their religion or their politics.  What I do ask is their position on Capital Punishment.  And I ask you, dear reader,  where do you stand?

Let me tell you where I stand and why.  I believe in Life.  I do not think there is such a thing as death.  But my definition of Life is different.  I believe that there is a greater existence, and that we are always part of that.  So nothing just disappears and is gone.  The energy of the person remains.  Astrologers and many non Astrologers connect to these energies.  So with that attitude, it is ridiculous to believe in death.

Now look at the all the political, nationalistic, religious and other movements or motives, that have been based on death, and have not done Good.  The world that we live in now, is only where it is, because on balance, more people on Earth are learning, that death is a divisive issue, and at best helps the person who kills the most.

As for Iran, it will be only a free society, as and when Capital Punishment is outlawed.  That will take care of the Seyyeds' dogma, and any other awkward political movement.  The Iranian Opposition needs to be fully united on this, and non-violent regime change.  This can be done by having peaceful General Strikes, whereby the Seyyeds' authority will be undermined, with no harm to anyone.

True Iranians will never fight for Seyyeds

Sad as it seems, the present highly dellusional theocratic regime in Iran, thinks it has the support of all Iranians. Or maybe the above statement is just another pathetic sound bite as more and more Sunnis are becoming anti Seyyed. The people of Iran hardly participated in the so called elections last time. People spit on mullahs in Iran. And Iranians carry on doing things their way in Iran, ignoring the Seyyeds. The Seyyeds are losing the war against the non believers. The Iranian puts Iran's peace first for Iranian reasons, as opposed to any other reason that is not part of the Nowrooz Spirit of Free Will and Peace for all.

Why don't more media in the west report this?

The photo below only appears in JPost.com. And most Iranians are very suspicious of Israeli media. So why don't more media, everywhere report this?

An Iranian civilian opposed to the Islamic Republic's regime made contact with the Israeli news website omeida.co.il, Channel Two reported on Wednesday.

The Iranian sent the website footage of police apparently beating opponents of the regime, including pictures of a bleeding woman who was allegedly protesting the strict dress code in Iran.

You're wrong Prof Zucker

Professor Zucker, in comparing Iran with Poland, thinks that the only opposition group of Iran is the MEK. Can you believe this? He ignores all the people who want a new democracy, be it as part of a Constitutional Monarchy, or a Republic. He then advocates an attack on Iran. He would rather have people, who are in many respects, even more confused than the Seyyeds, take over with the help of US.

Brave teachers of Iran vs Seyyeds

It is truly impressive to see the galant teachers of Iran stand up against the Seyyeds in Iran.

The SSF units brutally cracked down on the demonstrators using tear gas to disperse them. However, the teachers did not pay any attention and resisted arrest.

The people of Iran do not need the United States of America

Some people think that the people of Iran, or the society of Iran is weak against the Seyyeds. So they state:

Paradoxically, to liberalize the theocratic state, the United States would do better to shelve its containment strategy and embark on a policy of unconditional dialogue and sanctions relief. A reduced American threat would deprive the hard-liners of the conflict they need to justify their concentration of power. In the meantime, as Iran became assimilated into the global economy, the regime's influence would inevitably yield to the private sector, with its demands for accountability and reform.

It is important to appreciate that Iran has a political system without precedent or parallel in modern history. The struggle there is not just between reactionaries and reformers, conservatives and liberals, but fundamentally between the state and society. A subtle means of diminishing the state and empowering the society is, in the end, the best manner of promoting not only democracy but also nuclear disarmament.

Where have these astute people been? Don't they realise that the young people of Iran have built a new internet network that has bypassed the Seyyed rulers. We do not need United States. It is non violent, and is a lot more subtle.

Iranian students disrupt Pres. Ahmadinejad's speech, burning his picture

I am just a bit curious. Could this be a set up? I mean, these guys could just be actors. Usually this sort of action never gets going, and the protesters are arrested. Could this be the Islamist Fascists' fake way of showing tolerance? I hate to say this, but only if they are arrested will it be regarded as genuine.

Now if these students, do not meet any angry Islamist Fascists, then the movement will grow. But the Islamist Fascists have 6 million chomagdars; all very eager to bash secular Iranians on the head. I do not want to see people get hurt. Bravery is not required.

Withstanding the Islamists' hate, and rising above it, is important. The Islamist Fascists are driven by anger and hate, and they do not tolerate. So the best way to fight them, is to do as I said. Talk about the failure of the Islamist Fascists, to answer a total National Strike, in what I call a Non Violent National Strike (NVNS).

Once the people talk about NVNS, and the whole country speaks this Good Thought, then we get to Good Words. Once Good Words dominate, then Good Deeds will paralyse them, without one drop of blood on the sacred soil of Iran.

We need to talk and teach the whole of Iran to believe in NVNS.

Learn about all Iranians Mr Blair

It used to be just Donald Rumsfeld. But now ironically, after DR has gone, Tony Blair is harping about the Islamist Fascists. Never before have we had him, so clearly come out in the open and say:

"But at the moment - and this is particularly so in respect of what Iran is doing in supporting terrorism throughout the Middle East and acting in breach of its nuclear weapons obligations - you are behaving in such a way that makes such a partnership impossible."

But there is no referrence in his comments, about intelligent Iranians both inside Iran, or outside Iran, who want modern peaceful regime change?

Iranians must ignore US elections

With most of the vote in, it seems that with the conservative Democrats taking charge of the House, ironically GWB will actually have agreement in certain areas like Immigration. The only real challenge to GWB will be San Fransiconian politics of Liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi. Iranians will need her help to fight for women's rights in Iran. As the most Liberal Democrat she will have to keep the sanity of United States in the challenging times ahead. Go Nancy hit GWB hard! But alas, and ironically she has the most conservative bunch of Democrats she has had to deal with.

So Centre Politics is King, and the moderates are now in charge. Extremism is off the table, unless it is provoked by some incident like 9/11. And we don't really know what the oil companies and the military machine will cook up for the US. You all know the conspiracy theories; from US sinking their own ships to whateva, blaming it on Islamists etc etc, because the Islamists could not do it anyway. But with the US military machine facing cut backs and some Democrats talking about impeaching GWB, these theories can become reality.

And so I say, we Iranians have to ignore the Americans. We are a nation of our own, and we need to not get caught up, in the what if's. Remember how Iranians got suckered by the Republicans, thinking that they would have the US engage the Islamists very soon. And what happened? Nothing. Every day Iranians outside Iran get up and wish, "oh let's hope that the Russians or Chinese side with the EU and US, and everyone bashes the mad mullah in the head, and kicks them out." This is the classical posh Iranians' living abroad mentality. And because of that, the antithesis it produces, is the no frills Islamist Iranians in Iran, who fell for Ahmadinejad. So at one extreme you have the modern Iranians like the Crown Prince, and at the other end Mesbah Yazdi. But they both react to US politics. None try to motivate the silent majority of Iranians. And the key word is motivate. The Crown Prince has a duty to run the Royal Institution, but he is not doing anything in a focused practical way. The Iranian Opposition has not come together in a coordinated way as I have stated.

What have I stated? And is it new? Nothing is new in this game. Zoroaster and Cyrus the Great said it thousands and thousands of years ago. And do any of the so called "Leaders of Iran" say anything along the line of non violent regime change everyday? Not one of them does. How many articles have we Iranians written about non violent regime change? I have, but who else? Shame on all editors and all the Iranian Bloggers and anyone who is interested in the future of Iran if they do not talk about peaceful regime change. More people are interested in how Iran does in global politics, than taking direct action towards non violent regime change by themselves.

So I say to the people of Iran, especially those rich Iranians in sunny California. For the sake of Iran think about what I have said. Talk to all your relatives and friends about non violent regime change. Forget about what US politics is. We Iranians must handle our own affairs ourselves in our own civilized way. Take your first action. Argue about the how we are going to change Iran so that our children can live with the Islamists' children. Yes as Gandhi and all passive movement people have said, we have to win the peace. So start with a discussion about peace. Engage a conversation about how weak the Islamists are if the people of Iran go on a General Strike.

If you are an editor of an Iranian newspaper, I hope you really not sleep tonight if you do not think about how many people have not learnt from you, the benefits of General Strike and non violent regime change. The people of Iran must write as many articles about national peace for Iran. Iranian Love is stronger than Islam. Our culture is deeper than any other principle, and we can use it to show how civilized we really are. We have our own poets and philosophers, that bind us in our Iranian way. It is with these ideas that we can bind the people and show that we can resist working for the alien Islamist slave drivers, and be able to not feel guilty when we remove them in a civilized way without any harm to them.

US picking a fight with Islamists in Iran whilst looking for mines in the Persian Gulf

The situation in the Persian Gulf is heating up.

We have now learned that U.S. minesweepers have been ordered to follow the U.S.S. Eisenhower. This is an even more ominous signal of preparation for military action, since such ships would not normally accompany a strike force on routine deployments.

And still the Iranian opposition does not care about how the Islamists will use this scenario to keep themselves in power. The US will not talk to the Iranian opposition and will instead deal with a force it can fight with, not a force that does not want to fight, but wants to write about what is right for Iran.
